No doubt it's a great album, Funky Serenity is one of my favourites of Lewis's catalogue.

I slept on Ramsey Lewis for a long time as well–now every time I see an LP I grab it. Great post. There'll be one on Soul Shower this week on his Maiden Voyage LP.

For years I've been waiting (im)patiently for this album to be released on CD. Thanks for posting these tracks to tie me over until then.

The production of Stepney and Richard Evans make just about anything on Cadet worth picking up. Even Woody Herman sounds legitimately funky!
