Virtual Crates #2
Posted by b

Added a few things to the studio archives. Perhaps some of this music will be of use.

-----

JUST_DRUMS folder: Isolated drum tracks; most likely pulled from some sort of jam or experiment.

2007-01-04_drum_machine (3:30) - humdrumboy tinkering with the trusty Boss DR-202 "Dr. Groove". Taken from a "one-man-band" overdubbed Drum, Bass, Guitar reggae exploration. The isolated live drum track (w/drum machine) is also in this folder.

2006-11-27_big_naturals (20:09) - A spirited slice of sludge. 1 overheard mic, 6 people, no plan.

Since this meanders quite a bit; I chopped a few bits out to focus on some of the more "cohesive" moments. Hopefully the loops provide an entry point into how this music can be edited into useful pieces. [Note: Loops typically play better in iTunes than Windows Media Player].

A good overview a free computer-based music editing tools is here. (I don't know much about samplers). The easiest way to tinker is to open two browsers and play multiple tunes at once.

Hope you dig.
