Too much recent rap music relies on this formula, but the old-school stuff usually keeps it real. although if the sample and break are hot, you can't really go wrong there either. The spacey synth in the chorus is from a track on the sample-laden 'Do It' album by BT Express. Can't remember the name of the track but the sample is from the intro. And you're missing Schoolly's 'Gucci Time' from the rap samples in the chorus ("it's about that time" - also used in the Beasties tune). Just saw this mentioned on Soul Sides.
